This presentation pilots manufacturers to utilize their data metrics in order to (first) characterize and evaluate their service functionalities, and (second) improve overall service responsiveness. We, for this purpose, develop information architecture and provide a practical guidance, i.e., roadmap for success that can help manufacturers to shift from a reactive approach to a proactive approach. Through our collaboration with a U.S. based maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service provider of aircraft, the information architecture and the roadmap are put into practice for the MRO aviation industry. The key contribution of this paper is that  it uses data science to apply smart planning and exhibit rigorous
validation.
